Post-Post-Zionism

In the opinion of post-Zionists, Zionism and Judaism never were legitimate and should be phased out. Post-Zionist efforts are demoralizing to their own people and submissive towards their people's enemies. To my knowledge, they have not figured out what would take existing Israeli society's place.

True, they do utter slogans about a secular, democratic state for all its citizens. Those are the same slogans they equally unrealistically advance for a PLO state. Slogans without a program without a test.

Secular? No Arab state is secular. Arab states vary in the degree of their religiosity but makes Islam the dominant religion. Jews and Christians are subordinate. Israelis should well be aware of how oppressive Arab society is towards Jews, since almost half of the Israeli families are escapees from Arab oppression.

The Post-Zionist ideology would put Israeli Jews back under that Arab repression. How? By shrinking the state to indefensible borders and shrivel the will to defend it. After all, why fight for an "illegitimate" cause?

By ending the status of Israel as a Jewish state, the large, exploding population of Arabs and a concomitant Arab immigration before long would come to dominate Israel. Even before prevailing politically, it would become sufficiently powerful to enervate defense. Israel would fall.

What do these Post-Zionists think could happen to their houses and businesses, to the intellectual, humane, and progressive cultured and science which Israel gladly would share with the Arab states, and to the post-Zionists, themselves? They would be demoralized, degraded, destroyed.

To be sure, the house of Judaism has some narrow-minded adherents, off on a pedantic tangent. Mainly Judaism has served as a beacon of morality in this world of temptation, a world which secularists have failed to illuminate and done much to darken. Judaism gave morality to the Western world. It (and Zionism, one of the finest of nationalisms,) gave and offers so much to mankind. Most secularists are ignorant of it. They are not qualified to disapprove of it but hate what they don't know. Their problem is psychological.

Which causes which, the ignorance of the post-Zionist/post-Jews or the emotional problems of self-hatred? The ignorance, as a recent "A & I" explained, stems largely from the misrepresentation of Israeli history by the revisionist historians.

These illegitimate historians lie about Israel's past so as to defame their own country and scorn the Jewish morality which those poor revisionists' souls so need!

Now, if Benny Morris, Simha Flapan, et al have to fabricate Israeli history in order to denigrate Zionism, then Zionism wasn't so bad. (One also may conclude that Israeli history really occurred largely as the Zionists and professional and sincere historians always said it did.) Since Zionism wasn't so bad, as least as far as the Arabs are concerned, then post- Zionism has little to gripe about. Zionism doesn't claim perfection; it admits to human shortcomings, but has labored under extraordinary adversity which the emotionally impaired anti- Zionists are incapable of understanding.

Since the post-Zionist historians consciously fabricate history, they must not be totally ignorant of it. Their neuroses guide their intellects. Their post-Zionist readers, however, may not realize how false are the Morris-Flapan accounts. They acquire erroneous data. From such misinformation and disinformation, distorted conclusions flow and twisted emotions form. The duped audience's ignorance produces mental disequilibrium.

While post-Zionism and post-Judaism frown on Jewish nationalism and religion and propose some peaceful, equal co-existence, they pave the way for Arab chauvinism, war-like and inegalitarian. What could be more ugly than the imperialist superiority complex of Arab nationalism and the criminal deceitful viciousness of its rising Islamicism.

The fraudulent nature of the Jewish historical revisionists is that, for all their purported correcting of Israeli history, they do not correct the recent, propagandistic fabrications of history disseminated by the PA!

Have the post-Zionists a death wish? Is Arab oppression desirable? Is ignorance bliss? Have they a right to risk the lives of people who do not accept their views?

Faced by an enemy whose nationalism is so jingoistic and whose jihadits are bomb-happy, Jews who unilaterally relinquish their own nationalism and religion, leaving themselves defenseless, are closing a sad curtain on an ancient people.

The Jewish people has contributed enormously to the process of civilizing more than one society. It finally achieved one of its primary goals -- Zionism -- against what most people thought were hopeless odds. It remains creative. This is not the time to lower its defenses in shame but to raise its sights in pride.

Do the anti-Zionists realize the irony of their lying in behalf of what they deem their higher morality? Or that they empower Arab fascists in the name of a more humane ideology? Or that they would relinquish parts of the Jewish homeland to imperialists in the name of justice? Their justice is travesty! Their virtue is evil. Zionism and Judaism are not shameful, insincere critics are.
